The Regional Competition for Development of Innovative Bioenergy Schemes

Are you based in the West Midlands and have an idea for a local Bioenergy Scheme?

Organised under the auspices of Birmingham Science City as a part BioenNW, an EU funded Interreg IVB project, this regional Competition will identify 5 locations in the West Midlands for the deployment of anaerobic digestion and pyrolysis technology, with secured financing, planning permission and regulatory consent in place.

The 5 selected proposal sites will receive development plans and the site with the highest potential to be become a bioenergy power plant will also receive a prepared business plan.

This Competition is open to groups such as local governments, industrial organisations, landowners, developers, waste and energy companies, and any other stakeholders interested in infrastructure development
of this type.

The Competition will be launched on 1 October 2012 and will end in April 2013.
